Into Action ~ Recap Video

10:25 AM PST on February 2, 2018

INTO ACTION was a large scale pop-up art exhibition, cultural gathering and community organizing hub in Los Angeles that culminated over MLK weekend in Los Angeles. The event featured hundreds of artworks, all of them with an inspirational or political message. The event also housed dozens of artist installations, as well as over 25 hours of live performances, symposiums/panels, and workshops.

Over the course of a week, INTO ACTION brought together a large mix of American and international visual artists, activists, musicians, poets, policymakers, and community leaders to reflect the pain and suffering of 2017, while also organizing and planning for the year to come, a year which figures to be full of both activism and resistance.

We visited the event, spoke with attendees, artists, and organizers, and present this video recap. Click play above to start, or watch on YouTube. And read the LA TACO earlier coverage on INTO ACTION here.
