Jurassic 5's reunion performance at this years’ Coachella isn't until April, but you can catch resident MC and founding member Chali 2na this weekend at his first ever art exhibition. The show goes down at Mr Musichead Gallery in Los Angeles, California on February 15th from 7pm–10pm and features art from his latest project Against The Current. There will be original prints and paintings for sale as well as a performance from the man himself.

This showing is in support of his latest project - Against The Current. A 5-EP installment featuring a fusion of the blues music he was raised on, the hip-hop he produced as a member of Jurassic 5, the urban-Latin music he created with Ozomatli and his love for performing live. In addition to the music, Chali will be creating a coffee table book out of some of the art shown at the exhibit.

About Chali 2na – With his distinctive and widely beloved baritone voice, Chali 2na has established himself not only as one of hip-hop's preeminent and charismatic personalities, but has also garnered renowned praise as a highly respected artist across a myriad of mediums. Formerly associated with the groups Jurassic 5 and Ozomatli, he released his debut solo album Fish Outta Water in 2009. Breathing new life into his musical past, he announced “Against The Current.” Consisting of 5 genre-bending EPs, the project will also feature original art and photography from Chali himself. The project is being funded via PledgeMusic, where fans can interact and get exclusive and private videos, incentive packages, and one-of-a-kind items created by Chali 2na.
