On May 10, Leanna Lin’s Wonderland and Supahcute are proud to present Doggie Wonderland “Fun Adventures with Your Best Friend.” All proceeds from this group art exhibition and benefit will be donated to Ken-Mar Rescue, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit small dog rescue.
Doggie Wonderland “Fun Adventures with Your Best Friend” is a “cash and carry” show with artwork and products all priced at $100 and lower. The show will open with a reception at Leanna Lin’s Wonderland on Saturday, May 10 (6-10pm).
All artwork and related products will go on sale starting at 6:00pm. Due to the “cash and carry” nature of this show, we will not have an online preview period. All remaining pieces will be available online a few days after the opening event. Doggie Wonderland will run through June 29.
The opening event also features a raffle drawing and a silent auction. Raffle tickets will be sold from 6-9pm and winners will be announced at 9pm (you do not need to be present to win). Bids for the silent auction will be accepted until 9pm, and payments will be accepted at this time.
We’ll also have complimentary treats and drinks, live music, goodie bags, and extra special goodie bags for the first 25 art show purchases. RSVP on the Facebook event page to receive updates. We respectfully request that you leave your pets at home.

Ken-Mar Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to save neglected small dogs and introduce them to their forever families. Ken Guild and Martie Petrie opened Ken-Mar Rescue in 2007 and have saved hundreds of dogs since then. They have developed a track record of effective adoptions and have cultivated hundreds of foster parents.
Leanna Lin Fong, owner of Leanna Lin’s Wonderland, learned about Ken-Mar Rescue while looking for a second rescue dog. “I’ve only become more aware of the situation of homeless dogs, when our 1st dog (Richy) passed away,” she says. “We missed having a dog and started to look for a rescue dog. After we got Nixon, we wanted to rescue a second dog. I emailed Ken-Mar Rescue to inquire and got a quick response. Martie was so professional and informative about the situation at shelters. Her passion for animals made me want to help anyway that I can.”
Ken-Mar Rescue depends on donors, volunteers, and fundraisers to continue its mission of saving abandoned dogs. Help us raise money for those who give us unconditional love.
From calamari tacos to Oaxacan-style braised goat on handmade freshly nixtamalized corn tortillas and Mexicali-style "cooler burritos," this may be the best Metro bus line to take for tacos in the county.
Earlier this month, a leaked memo from the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) suggested that these 41.18 zones rarely led to unhoused people being moved into interim shelter or permanent housing. After being cleared, most 41.18 zones quickly became repopulated.
What does it take to stand out in Los Angeles's saturated taco climate? Focus on San Fernando Valley-style loaded breakfast tacos, "breakfast quesadillas" with crispy cheese skirts, and the beefiest breakfast burritos Balboa Boulevard has ever seen.
Save the date! Our 15th annual taco tournament is taking place on April 13th at La Plaza de Cultura y Artes near Olvera Street. Pre-sale tickets are now available. Our online tournament starts on Monday. Check out this year's contenders!
