By OxDx

9:08 AM PDT on June 24, 2010

LA prosecutors are looking for the first ever injunction against a group of graffiti "vandals".  If granted, the 10 members charged as being part of MTA would face various restrictions:

-they cannot associate with each other

-mandatory curfew of 10pm to 5am

-cannot possess "graffiti tools and weapons"

In addition, the members of MTA face millions in damages for graffiti vandalism; the most famous being the LA River MTA which was removed last year by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The civil suit against MTA is scheduled for a Aug. 31 hearing and seeks $250,000 in civil penalties and $3.7 million in damages for "500 incidents of MTA graffiti vandalism."
