Robert Kawika Sheer ~ Graveyard Spirits ~ Woodlawn Cemetary
Robert Kawika Sheer @ Woodlawn Cemetary
“Graveyard Spirits is an 80 minute single exposure photograph taken between midnight and 1:20am at Woodlawn Cemetery in Santa Monica. No PhotoShop. No multiple exposures. The performance of this photograph is a completely solo endeavor. During the night exposure, Sheer walks into the frame of his shot to create all the figures using a portable lighting device held in his hand. For each figure, he changes into a costume, travels into the frame, strikes a pose, and quickly creates a circle of light on the wall of a tombstone located behind him. Sheer even poses as the widow — creating the female figure by borrowing his wife’s shawl and flowers.

My Favorite Taco ~ SMEAR
Night-crawler SMEAR covers a lot of LA ground, getting up his drawings, posters, tags, plus occasional pieces, and making us laugh with hilarious words left while on the dash. Naturally, a mu’fuggah needs nourishment and it don’t come much better or cheaper than…that’s right, tacos bueys.
Yo, SMEAR, what is your favorite TACO?
“Smear loves tacos…..If you haven’t already, try the taco truck on Western and Fountain…my personal favorite. ”

Keep Dodger Stadium Where it Is

While the overall scope and vision behind one of the proposals for the former Not a Cornfield site is exciting, the idea of moving Dodger stadium is terrible. While the company believes that Dodger Stadium is too old or outmoded, that is not the case at all. Despite being the second oldest stadium in the National League (only famed Wrigley in Chicago is older), Dodger Stadium is as fresh, classic, and exciting as any sports venue in the company and although its history is not pure, it has carved out a unique and important place in the city that will be completely lost by moving the stadium. Mack Reed at LAVoice.com agrees.
