Nug Report ~ SCIENCE!

According to a study done in Italy:

All five cannabinoids (THC, CBD, CBG, CBC, and CBN) were potent against bacteria. Notably, they performed well against bacteria that were known to be multidrug resistant, like the strains of MRSA that plagued U.K. hospitals. CBD and CBG have the most potential for consumer use because they are nonpsychotropic.

In plain English– the major components of marijuana, cannabinoids, kill bacteria. It’s not a huge leap to suggest that smoking pot, while harmful to the lungs, can also potentially kill bacteria in your system and keep you healthy. For all you scientists out there, the full report is here.

Save the Taco Trucks

Gloria Molina’s anti taco legislation has been overturned by forward-thinking, pro-taco judge Dennis A. Aichroth. Taco trucks in unincorporated areas of the city are now free to remain parked in their usual spots, much to the consternation of Molina’s anti-taquero forces, who vowed to not give up their fight against the taco lifestyle.

The battle has been won, but the war is not over. Molina’s forces are regrouping and have publicly stated that community outrage over the legislation will not sway them one way or another. They pledge to keep using every weapon at their disposal, and taco lovers around the Southland will meet them at every turn, equally determined to preserve the taco lifestyle.

Taco News Roundup ~ August 27th, 2008

It’s been an up and down week in the taco world, as corporate entities continue to try to profit on the goodwill and hunger of taco lovers worldwide. Do your part and shun fake taco shops that reheat their “meat” in plastic bags etc. Likewise, be aware that the hustling taquero may not have insurance, and might be the victim of a horrible crime like our taco-brother in South Carolina (see story below). Don’t be afraid to tip your taquero when you can! That’s the 401k, insurance, and bonus in that oversized styrofoam cup.
