There is no "graff code" except for the one you make for yourself, but that's like anything in life.

People do graffiti for all different kinds of reasons, some to intentionally vandalize private property, some to beautify abandoned buildings. When it comes down to it, most people can see the difference between the two kinds of graffiti, but it will ALWAYS be clumped together as graffiti

Alright, WE do. That means us too. WE may PAY for it, but it is public property, which means it falls under government rule.

Graffiti is done on public places because we WANT the city to pay for it as a type of peaceful protest* (note: I'm not speaking for EVERY graf artist, only myself and my crew). It's against graf code to paint on PRIVATE property.

The people who do that are idiot taggers that should NEVER be clumped in with graf artists. We aren't the same.

The new law appears to makes it mandatory for a court to order someone convicted of graffiti to clean up graffiti. The only exception is freeway signs that hang over a freeway. Unfortunately having to clean up graffiti in some neighborhoods put the taggers safety at risk. Judges should have the final say.
