As an elementary school teacher, students thrive and blossom from arts education, especially for students who may be shy and introverted or have difficulty expressing themselves verbally. The arts program is way for students to be exposed to theatre, dance, music, and visual arts through instruction by professionals and/or teachers with a credential in that specific art discipline. Poor allocation and use of the budget affect students. Yet, money continues to funnel into prison industrial complex.
