Cemitas Poblanas Taco Truck ~ Mid-City

Fairfax Ave. and Pico Blvd. 11-3P.M.
Our last visit to Cemitas Poblana had our tacos drizzled in avocado sauce along with mild salsa. The truck is clean and organized with a smattering of Mexican pastries and sweets on hand. We found the asada to be a little dry and a little gristly in bites, they were not great but still not unsatisfactory.
The pastor was unusual, seeming more like ground beef than that chewy pork-rindish pastor we happen to like. The pastor was stewy and soft in a tomatoish sauce, good but different.
The carnitas were not very good, in huge shreads that resembled dry chicken. The carnitas, unlike the pastor, was not stewy enough and could take a lesson from its bredren. All tacos were served with onion, cilantro and a side of lemon and a big pepper.
