Dennis Johnson, RIP
Compton’s own Dennis Johnson may have played for the wrong team, but he was a local hero and one of the best basketball players from LA. Renowned for his defense, his court savvy, and his key role on two Celtics (and one Seattle) championship teams, he died yesterday doing what he loved to do the most– playing and coaching basketball.
