Nice work!. Photos are great. I have relatives buried at Evergreen Cemetery going back to 3 and 4 generations. I wish we have permission to Celebrate Dia De los Muertos there in the traditional way, by cleaning and dressing the gravesites and spending the night there with our loved ones.

Glad to see you made it back to the paved road, and returned to commune with the living. We the living need you more than the deceased right now. You'll have plenty of time to chill with the spirits and ghosts later (much later hopefully), though you can still visit. :-)

Hey you should have stopped by and said "Hello" since you were in my neck of the woods hahah. Seriously, I live blocks away from evergreen and while it does have a rich legacy, now it takes on many different meanings. The people around here for the better part are oblivious to the historical significance of evergreen. Most residents just know it as the place to walk around in the day time and the place to not walk around in the night. The jogging path is put to great use mostly in the mornings and evenings. In the morning more older folk and joggers get their daily running or walking fix. The evenings are dominated by families walking around with strollers and people with dogs, like me. When I first got my dog, Harley Quinn a hundred pound black lab, I committed myself to walking her everyday and for the better part I did. For two years straight I walked around evergreen everyday going around once eventually running around the whole damn thing with my dog by my side. The only times I didn't walk was when I was physically incapable of doing it or I was out. even then if I would get home between 9 or 10 p.m. I would still go out and walk. When she was a puppy she was a total chick magnet and everyone stopped to tell me how cute she is. Now people just compliment me on how well behaved and trained she is.
Thus far I have seen a dog and a couple of chickens in there, but no ghost or phantoms. I have seen local teens hanging out drinking and smoking pot though.
