Langers has the best pastrami I have ever found, hands down. The Hat and Johnnies Pastrami both make a mighty fine sandwich but its not half of what the Pastrami with nippi cheese is at Langers. For sure it is the best in Los Angeles. Probably the best in the country, perhaps the world. Well now I have a serious jones. Langers here I come! And Langer's has gotten love from no less a source than the New Yorker, where Nora Ephron opened her appreciation of Langer's with the following sentence: "The hot pastrami sandwich served at Langer’s Delicatessen in downtown Los Angeles is the finest hot pastrami sandwich in the world."
