Las Brisas ~ Redondo Beach
1969 Artesia Blvd. ~ Redondo Beach, CA ~ (310) 376-5884 (TACO Map)
This is my favorite Cadillac Margarita in the South Bay. You’ll know exactly why when you try standing up after slurping it down. On a broiling summer afternoon the front patio of Las Brisas provides a shady, green retreat from the bustling thoroughfare of Artesia in Redondo Beach. The food here is ultra-sabroso and the people are great. For a light lunch I prefer the Chile Relleno, an excellent indicator of the good eats coming from the kitchen…
Feeling a bit under the weather- try the Fideo con pollo. For extra kick add spoonfulls of Brisas’ Chile del Arbol salsa.

Another dish guaranteed to please is the Rancheros Acaballo- enchiladas, rice, beans, with eggs on top. Check the specials- on a lucky day it may be Enchiladas con Mole.
The people here at Brisas are kind and welcoming. Dora, pictured below, loves children. She is a fantastic person and exceptionally good natured.

Thanks go to Cero, pictured below; he’s the boss responsible for running this classy joint. He has managed Brisas for over 20 years. He is sitting in front of his first class bar room/cantina. Excellent selection of Tequila to be imbibed. I hope Cero doesn’t mind this candid photo- i don’t think he expected my 3 year old niece, Isabella, to be snapping paparazzi shots! Cero is an all-star, and a wonderful cook; if don’t believe me- ask the Tecate girls!

Brisas is open for lunch and dinner. Two nights a week you can dance to a live DJ.

Brisas is also a fabulous site for banquets and party celebrations. We asked Dora to show us around the rest of the restaurant which is usually closed except for special events, and it looks like the perfect party place.

This is our favorite place too! Husband and high school best friend found the place on their ditch day a long, long time ago. Hahaha!
Oh my god. Their margaritas! I have yet to finish one and walk out in a straight line. Heh.
