Tony Pierce over at LAist passes on some vital informacion about the new red light cams going up all over Los Angeles. CBS2 News provides the list below you’ll want to memorize– stay away from intersections with these infernal eyes in the sky if you can, you never know when they’re going to entice you into a yellow light, and without warning turn red and go papparazi on your auto. According to the site, it’s a is a discussion of red light cameras, including defects that aren’t widely known and which may invalidate many tickets in California localities, and even some world-wide.

After disabling red light cams citywide in 2005 because of a low conviction rate, CBS2 says:

The council revived the program last year after approving a contract with Nestor Traffic System, which provides a dual-digital video camera system that records violators as they approach and travel through an intersection after the light has changed to red.

The license plates are photographed from both the rear and the front, resulting in more convictions, according to Los Angeles police officials.

– Figueroa Street and Manchester Avenue
– Gage and Normandie avenues
Alvarado and Temple streets
– Lorena Street and Whittier Boulevard
