My Favorite Taco: Richard Rushfield
Often called one of the oldest members of his generation, Richard Rushfield is the consummate outsider’s insider, or insider’s outsider, or… well, whatever he is, he’s funny which counts for a lot in the newspaper biz, where humor goes to die. Co-founder of LA Innuendo, a major inspiration for the publication you’re reading right now, author of On Spec, the double R currently serves as a senior editor at the Times in charge of non-boring stuff.
So Ricardo, what’s your favorite taco?
I favor La Isla Bonita– it’s a truck which parks on Rose Ave in Venice. I’m a carnitas man, carnitas tacos from a truck with some cerviche on the side is one of the Westside’s last remaining triumphs.
