Boo, hiss! They messed up the look of an Eastside institution! That old chola is outta control now with no respect for the neighborhood, hope some newer ones put that wina in her place!
My jefita told me a story of Old Chola growing up a couple blocks from the Latin playboy, hangin out late nights at the bar with her an some other ruckas. the bad stories the good times!.. so there’s a disrespectful “for lease’ sign on the front door of this east los landmark that’s been closed down for some time now, Quisas a laptop coffee house coming soon! or if we’re lucky the next great Taco joint… but the memory still remains as strong as a can of aqua net or a flower that grows on concrete for my jefita and the old cholas from the neighborhood. Now when i drive through different parts of los angeles and i spot an image of the old chola it brings a smile to my face knowing that everyone gets to see the real beauty and attitude of my ciudad….

EL CHAVO, this eastside institution has a name “LATIN PLAYBOY.” If your passionate about this forgotten building why don’t you try to save it instead of inviting new posters to cover the building? I see the playboy everyday and all it had for a long time was a for lease sign now it seems to have a little bit of life to it thanks to the Chola.

I thought the same thing. That building is cool, especially the playboy letting. That’s pretty messed up that it was defaced like that.
