Opening Day 2008 ~ Chavez Ravine

Friend of TACO A.B. sends these pictures from Opening day via Send To Taco

Before the game, they had an amazing, unexpected parade of Dodger legends on the field, starting with Duke Snider and ending with Sandy Koufax.

Tommy LaSorda got one of the biggest cheers of the pre-game.

After Sandy Koufax, Carl Erskine, and Don Newcombe threw out the first pitches, the current and former Dodgers met at the mound and brought it in.

Matt Kemp signed autographs before the game.

The McCourts posed for pictures before the game, and basked in the glow of one of the best opening days ever.

New signage in the field level, it looked great.

This is where you get your tacos in Dodger stadium– 1st base side.

Absolutely beautiful pictures. I don’t mean to brag but I caught the ball at my first baseball game… the guy who threw it was Mike Piazza.
