Saber Plans to Smash the Skies (Again), And You Can Help
Artist and activist Saber plans to repeat and top his aerial assault on Downtown Los Angeles from last year, when he hired planes to tag the skies to protest LA’s mural moratorium. His new target: those who wish to eliminate public arts funding in the United States of America.
Mitt Romney has stated that he would eliminate funding for The National Endowment for the Arts, PBS, and NPR if elected. This extreme conservative has no appreciation for the arts or American culture, despite the fact that creative people are the backbone of this country. It’s time to fight back and prevent these publicly funded and uniquely American organizations from being eliminated. To do this, I’m going to use the same tactic that I used last year that successfully generated much press and attention in both the real and internet worlds: BY TAKING OVER THE SKIES.
Saber is selling his artwork in order to fund the planes, so your donation will net you a limited edition print in addition to helping support the cause. All you need to do is visit the Saber online shop, and select one of the items that has the #defendthearts hashtag in the description. Read the entire description of Saber’s request for donations here.
