I like taco trucks. I eat at taco trucks but once made the mistake of giving a taco truck permission to be in my business while we were closed. I gave the permission based on promises of cleaning up and controlling the loitering. Neither happened. Everyday there was trash all over and we even occasionally received the gift of urine and feces. Then he started leaving the truck parked in front of the business on the street during the day thereby robbing our business of 2-3 valuable spots. When I told him that it wasn't working out--that he hadn't kept his promises. He accused me of being a racist and kept showing up anyway until I finally called the police and he moved 2 doors down. So while you may like them, have some empathy for those that are victimized by them and yes, pity the poor restaurants that are punished for actually paying employees, paying (thousands) for permits and have to maintain a healthy work environment.
