Taco Truck Pillow ~ The Internets

TacoTruckPillows.jpg

Found this cruising around the internet. They’re made by a woman up in San Francisco, who sells them through her website, heidimatic.com. I thought they were pretty sweet and all, but they are 95 bucks each! Maybe it is some ironic artist statement, that the taco truck, the symbol of egalitarian, affordable, all-class access to deliciousness on wheels, is featured in all of its line art glory on a prohibitively expensive canvas pillow.

I think that in addition to being consumers of art, we can and should be producers of art as well.

For example, you could find a white pillow like this WhitePillow.jpg, which costs $9.99 on clearance at bedbathandbeyond.com.

A Sharpie® permanent market sharpie.jpg costs $1.03 at Staples.

So, we are back to the perennial question: Can money buy style? Maybe, maybe not, but it seems like it can at least buy the raw materials.
