Taco Violence ~ Mexico

A violent episode at a taco stand in Mexico this week has claimed two lives. Peaceful taco shop patrons were caught up in the drug wars that have set Mexico on fire– more than 7,500 people have been killed in the past 18 months. The thirst for illegal drugs in the United States and other countries have created an untenable situation where not even taco stands are safe.

AFP reports that a 15-year-old boy died when a grenade hit a taco shop in the western city of Uruapan during a clash between the cops and a gang of assassins. The taco lifestyle community mourns the dead, and stands in solidarity with the innocent people caught in the madness of the drug war.
