Taquerias El Atacor #11 Update ~ Cypress Park
Atacor #11was reviewed by TACO in March of last year, here’s a new review from OxDx.
I literally stumbled in here one day looking for some good tacos. The decor was pretty random which I like, they seem to serve beer which is beyond good and it looks like they are open really late. It wasn’t until after I ate here that I read all sorts of reviews praising the place and I will have to say, the tacos were very good.
They were piping hot, very cheap (4 tacos and a drink for about 5 bux) AND they came with chips. I’m usually into sauce that burns my mouth off so the red sauce/green sauce here was OK, but not very spicy. I had the chicken (which I fondly call “stew-style”; i.e. they were not grilled), asada and pastor. Everything was good, taste was right on. I saw some people eating potato tacos and I heard they are the bomb. I’ll try them next. I have a vegan buddy who ate them and had to ask how they cook it… and if you are vegetarian/vegan you’ll probably want to know they cook the potato tacos in LARD.
