Don Rogelio's wasnt going to be named that in the begining. my grandfather, Rogelio Herrera began building the restaurant, but with his passing construction ceased. My father then took over plans and with the mastermind [my grandmother Viola Herrera] decided to dedicated the place to my grandfather. The recipes are all my grandmothers, and all the tile work and special construction detail is all in memory of my granfather. Its a tiny whole in the wall place, and it was just nice to see it being mentioned. my grandma owns that place!

True Lennox is saturated with Latino food the truth is a lot of those places are only good for a few things. For example: The Bakery by the Mel'O Buger off Century is the best place for Menudo Saturday and Sunday mornings. Tacos Morelia off 102 and Hawthorne is the best place for Aguas Frescas. Los Tapatios off 111th and Hawthorne is the spot for quesadillas and buche/carnitas by the pound (from the butcher not the restaurant) Truthfully, you’ve barely scratched the surface of Lennox eateries. True Lennox is saturated with Latino food the truth is a lot of those places are only good for a few things.
