Top Ten Tacos ~ Hollywood Party Edition

Top Ten Tacos in Hollywood

Let’s say you’ve just stumbled out of a Hollywood club or bar and need to, as the party people say “get your taco on”. Where are the go-to spots? The great Bandini has the answer, although he rightly notes that Hollywood is sadly no taco mecca. Thus, we have a top 5 and not a top 10 for you. As usual, please post your favorite post-party Hollywood or H’wood adjacent spots in the comments.

1. El Matador - (western and lexington)

2. El Chato - (la brea and olympic)

3. El Gran Burrito - (vermont and santa monica blvd)

4. Cactus taqueria - (950 Vine St)

5. Taco Zone Alvarado & Montana Ave (north of sunset blvd next to Vons)

  1. I remember REVOK said he loves Cactus. I love El Chato, it always seems to be there come taco-time and the tacos are very good.

  2. The taco truck at Santa Monica Blvd and Beachwood drive on the carwash parking lot is excellent. They are pretty much a permanent fixture there and have really good food.

  3. Alright El Gran Burrito!!!
    Made it to number 3!!!

I am confident that if you add a couple more vending machines, a TV that people can actually see, and a more complicated receipt based ordering system, that you can make it to number 1 next year.

I love this place, and am so glad that it is my local taco haunt.

Way to go El Gran Burro!!!

  4. tacos on olympic east of the sears tower beats all of these. but most are closed by the time it gets late, there is one on whittier called escondido that’s attached to a small restaurant that’s open past 2am and pretty good. i think cactus is better for burritos, don’t really like their tacos.
