Trece Opening Night ~ Boathouse Gallery

2:26 PM PDT on September 6, 2012

One of the best shows of the year opened last weekend at Boathouse Gallery. Prime, Big Sleeps, Alex "Defer" Kizu, Gaijin Fujita, Miguel Felipe, Germs, Chaz Bojorquez and others showed works that focused on complex lettering and unique visions. The 13 hand-painted skate decks on display had so many intricate layers and colors that you could spend an hour in front of each one decoding all of the elements that made the pieces so powerful. Erwin Recinos was there, and presents this gallery of images from opening night.
