    Taco Demon

Ay, demonios! Taco Demon serves cannabis-infused “demon salsa” with chile de arbol, habanero, serrano and a THC-infused agua de Jamaica to accompany its selection of tacos filled with pastor, asada, chicken, and jackfruit carnitas on handmade tortillas. The business will debut on March 22nd at a 21+ skateboard and roller-skating party in Santa Fe Springs called “High Roller,” organized by Illusion Collectives. Hippie Churros will also be on hand to slang gourmet churros, alongside other vendors. $12 tickets are now available.

    Los Lobos Fish Tacos

Los Lobos Fish Tacos is popping up this Saturday, March 7, and again on Saturday, March 28, at 818 Brewing in Canoga Park. Light, crispy Baja-style beer-battered fish, and Cajun-spiced shrimp tacos are what owner Roberto Lopez, a veteran food truck worker and part-time student at Los Angeles Mission College, is all about.

    Tacos el Cochi

Tacos el Cochi, aka Birrias el Cochi, is now open in La Puente. The plancha-based street operation makes Tijuana-style tacos dorados and mulitas filled with birria de res from a 40-qt. stockpot of bone-in beef, with large handfuls of Monterrey Jack, served alongside consomé, as well as on its own.

    The Steamin’ Burger Truck

The Steamin’ Burger Truck has moved from San Francisco to Los Angeles, with its debut appearance happening at “First Fridays” tonight on Abbot Kinney. The truck claims to be the “first and only stuffed steamed burger truck” on earth, selling items like a jalapeño-stuffed cheeseburger that’s steamed instead of fried or grilled. It sounds good. Unless they’re Giants fans. And with a pastrami, avocado, bacon and fried egg-topped burger called “the World Series Champ,” we fear they just might be.
