The goal of this event is for participants to enjoy ideas of optimism, hopeful progress, and radical change through the appreciation of art. There will be live performances, including ones by MuWosi, StormDeBargeand ImJeronelle and art exhibits, including pieces by Createluv and R3iB0T. [dropcap size=big]T[/dropcap]rying to get a vegan brunch in SELA from a local pop-up? El Cielito Café is hostingMex Vegana, a local vegan pop-up, they will be serving brunch from 9:30 am to 3 pm. There will be breakfast tacos with tofuevos, soyrizo, country potatoes, and pancakes. El Cielito is a really cool community space and cafe in South Gate decorated with art by local artists. They have great drinks too, and source their coffee from small farms across Latin America.

Coming of Age Presented By Virgil Abloh
[dropcap size=big]V[/dropcap]irgil Abloh is one of the biggest names in the fashion industry. Abloh is both artistic director of Louis Vuitton's menswear collection and CEO of Off-White. Abloh curated Coming of Age, an exhibition on boyhood. There will be a limited edition giveaway of zines featuring the artists involved in Coming of Age. This event will be held at the Little Big Man Gallery in the Arts District. Get more details here.
[dropcap size=big]T[/dropcap]he Bloody Gums Collective is hosting 100 Portraits, a photography show featuring all kinds of portraits ranging from conceptual, street, to fashion photography. There will also by some surprises by Red Futon, a Pasadena based creative space, and artist Mekael Dawson. Get more details here.
n the Inside is a collection of 110 portrait drawings by LGBTQ+ artists that are currently incarcerated. The art is made from materials available to incarcerated artists, pens, letter sized paper, and dull pencils. There is even art made from innovations like an asthma inhaler filled with kool aid used as an air brush. This exhibit started with a small ad in the Black and Pink newsletter that called for art submissions from incarcerated artists, which led to the submission of thousands of art pieces. The opening reception is happening June 1 at the Craft Contemporary. Get more details here.

This is a community show that features local and independants artists, as well as a love for pop culture. There will be comics, artists, cosplayers, and some possible surprise guests.
