Congratulations to Mexicali Taco & Co., LA’s Favorite Taco for 2011

Congratulations to both Mariscos Jalisco and Mexicali Taco & Co., who fought an epic battle late into the night all the way until the voting closed at midnight. The lead changed several times in the final 15 minutes, and ultimately Mexicali Taco & Co. was crowned the winner and will reign for one year as "LA's Favorite Taco".

If you're reading this and still haven't tried all 32 tacos on our list, or at least the final four of Ricky's Fish Tacos, La Estrella, Mariscos Jalisco, and Mexicali Taco & Co., you need to do so now! We're hoping to put together some sort of event in the near future to bring some of these amazing, hardworking taqueros together.

This was the best Taco Madness Yet. Thank you so much to everyone who voted, to all the sites that linked to us or wrote about Taco Madness, and most importantly to the 32 Taqueros who stepped up their game during our month-long competition. It was a lot of fun, and we can't wait until next year!!!
