Shepard Fairey just released the above artwork on his site and is getting it printed for distro in LA and around the country. What do you think?

One thing I like about Obama is that I feel that he is actively promising that he’s going to be really different, which is something we as voters can hold him to, and push for. What can we hold any of the other candidates to? Empty promises, that’s all. Same old shit. If Obama makes it, he’ll have millions of people behind him in a real way.
If Obama does get elected by some miracle, and then he turns out to be full of shit, we’ll have every right to be mad as hell. When Hillary gets elected and its politics as usual, we’ll have noone to blame but ourselves.

There’s a fascinating editorial in the new issue of Don Diva on why Obama is not an alternative to hegemony in politics. Not sure I agree completely but it made me think harder. It’s hard to have faith in anyone playing the political game right now, but so far Obama seems like our best contender for something more level-headed.

The concept of the word progress placed under a image of ANY politician makes me want to dry heave.
I have seen plenty of “Progress” from the current administration, I would much prefer to see change (In a number of area’s.)
Besides, when it comes down to brass tax I don’t have faith in anyone, running on any platform, for any party.
Chuck D. said it best, We vote with our dollars. This election and the outcome of the next four years has already been set in motion, I doubt we will see much change.

On the one hand, electing the US President is like electing the president of McDonalds– no matter what, the food’s still going to be kinda shitty. There’s too much built-in crap for even the greatest man in history to make a major change.
But at the same time, given the history of this country, having a black son of an immigrant as president is a MASSIVE step forward. Not because of his race, but because he’s the best person for the job AND his background is completely 100% different then anyone else who’s ever been president.

No way am I voting for Obama, especially after reading about his Israeli relationship and his willingness to support giving funds to Israel. That money should be used for the American people instead. That revelation explains a lot now.

I am 100% in the Obama camp and am glad Shepard has stepped up and made a statement. It’s not easy for a public figure to take a stand in any direction and threaten alienating a part of your fans… good on him.
Obama is a leader steeped in the people. He is a true grass roots leader and represents a true shift in leadership. Enough of the shifting dynasties in Washington. Lets breath some life into the white house!

Obama voted against the war in Iraq and is for the creation of a living wage. It’s fascinating to click on ISSUES on the official websites for McCain, Clinton and Obama. McCain and Clinton have creative ways to name their top issues, Obama makes it plain, he’s not afraid to call them Poverty or Iraq.

I don’t mind Obama’s pro-Israel stance because he was always against the Iraq war and has promised to engage in diplomatic talks with any country, which none of the other candidates are doing. There’s no way that American foreign policy would be the same under Obama as it would be under someone like Mccain, I’m all for avoiding war with Iran/anywhere else.

I like the cat, but right now he has all the substance of cotton candy…the kind you get at the Indio Thieves Market - you know the night flea market, you feel me? NO/FI,
Are you completely retarded? You’d rather throw verbal pellets from the sidelines than actually effect who is in charge of our government? Caring about the welfare of the country is not “keeping it real”? When you have an opportunity to put a progressive person in the White House I think it is a coup worth being part of. And yes, I do think Obama winning would be pretty subversive. If you don’t, you have not been paying attention at all. I support Obama because I think he is DIFFERENT from politics as usual. Do some research sucker.
