A musical giant passed last week-- Leroy "Sugarfoot" Bonner, the legendary frontman of the seminal funk group Ohio Players. Karriem Riggins has paid tribute to one of Sugarfoot's most influential songs, "Funky Worm" with a chopped version of the track, which you can stream or download below. Make sure to check out the Stones Throw Records page that includes YouTube videos of many of the tracks which have sampled Funky Worm, and a quote from Riggins:

"My idea was to chop a song that is so important to hip hop and also pay homage to 1 of the funkiest groups from one of the funkiest states. Ohio Players' music will forever be relevant! RIP Sugarfoot."
