Lakers Victory Parade ~ Monday June 21st 11am

You might want to take Monday off if you want to join in the festivities.  The Lakers 2010 Championship Parade is set to start at 11am Monday June 21st at STAPLES Center.  The parade will travel south on Figueroa Street to Jefferson Blvd. north of the USC campus.

Street closures most of which begin Sunday night:

Figueroa Street between Olympic Boulevard to the north and Jefferson Boulevard on the south beginning at midnight Sunday.

Chick Hearn Court between Figueroa Street and Cherry Street; Cherry Street between Olympic and Pico Boulevards; Flower Street between Washington and Jefferson Boulevards; Jefferson Boulevard between Figueroa and Hoover Streets; all intersections along the two-mile route as designated by the LAPD.

If you live in DTLA or commute there for work, you might want to map it out early so you don't get stuck in traffic.  Or better yet, take the day off and jump on the Metro and join the parade!
