Preview: Flying Lotus in 3D at Hollywood Forever ~ October 14th

[dropcap size=big]F[/dropcap]lying Lotus is the musical shaman of Los Angeles, both a performer and a behind-the-scenes maestro, artistically connected to some of the major musical movements this city has seen in the past decade. As an artist, FlyLo always pushes boundaries both sonically and with his visual presentation, regardless of the size and scale of the venue. The Hypercube stage setup blew audiences' minds back when it was introduced during Lotus' last tour cycle, so building on that seems to be a serious mission for the artist and his collaborators.

The new 3D stage setup is wild, we're talking about large 3D screens showing totally unique, mind-bending visuals synched perfectly with Lotus' catalog of tunes. The entire rig is going out on a North American tour, with the first show right here in Los Angeles this Saturday night at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. The opening act is FlyLo collaborator and ultimate bass-master Thundercat, so you know the entire thing is going to be incredible. The show is in collaboration with Red Bull Music Academy Festival, which is happening all month long here in Los Angeles.

Curious about the visuals for this show? Photographer Aaron Novak was at the FYF show and delivers the following images to give you a little preview of what should prove to be a legendary evening. Need tickets? Buy them here.
