Recap: Tropicália Festival 2017

[dropcap size=big]T[/dropcap]ropicalia was a special day for everyone, including the guests, the musical talent, and the taqueros. It seemed like the whole festival catered to latinos and POC, which is rare and felt amazing. The lineup brought so many different groups of people together, from older fans of artists and groups like Sonora Dinamita, Ivy Queen, Ginuwine, and Los Tigres del Norte, to younger kids who grew up listening to the classic acts in their homes (and are also fans), but bought tickets for the newer generation of artists like Chicano Batman, Cuco, The Buttertones, King Krule, Jorja Smith, and Kali Uchis.

This festival was a unique event as it featured mainly latino artists, but it was also mixed with other performers from a variety of genres and cultures. The truly diverse tastes of today's Latino generation, who are exposed to all types of music from different genres, decades, and backgrounds, was finally approached by promoters with love and respect, and the result was a good time for everyone.
