The Sunset Junction street fair is this weekend, with tons of great bands playing Saturday and Sunday and these whole shows coming in at about $12-$15. It says Millie Jackson and The O'Jays are playing...like "Love Train/Used to be My Girl" O'Jays? Holy shit Los Angeles!! There are a lot of other great live music acts going down this weekend as well, from revolutionary legends P-Funk and Public Enemy to free shows by Patti Smith and El Vez. We're going to be at dancehall reggae legend Sister Nancy's show at the Echo on Friday for sure. Please say hi. Let's go hard this weekend, then by Sunday we can all pass out over a jazz picnic in Santa Monica City Hall. I like pickles, make mine with pickles please.
